The Red Rose
Veterans Honor Guard continues a great tradition among men and women of
arms. Even though for many of us our time of active service
is past we still believe that our duty is to honor our country
and those that
suffered, bled,
and died for the cause of freedom!
Our reminder comes
from General Douglas MacArthur, who spoke the following now famous words
to a graduating class at the West Point Military Academy on May 12, 1962.
"The long gray
line has never failed us. Were you to do so, a million ghosts in
olive drab, in brown khaki, in blue and gray, would rise from their white
crosses, thundering those magic words:
Duty,
Honor, Country."

| The Red Rose Veterans
Honor Guard is composed of a select group of Active Duty, National Guard
and Reserve personnel as well. as well as retired members of the Army,
Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines. We are
an all volunteer veterans organization from Lancaster County, PA and stay
busy providing military honors for the funerals of deceased veterans and
present the colors for various community events. The Red Rose Veterans
Honor Guard is well versed in military customs and courtesies and continuing
training is provided to each color guard or honor guard member .
The honor guards of the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard proudly wear full
dress military uniforms when performing their duties, whether as color
guards or part of a military funeral detail, they represent with pride
their individual branch of service. The Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines,
Coast Guard and Merchant Marine can point with pride to this group of men
and women volunteers. If you have an event that needs to render the
proper honors while presenting the colors of the United States, or if you
are a current or former member of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast
Guard and Merchant Marines and wish to join the Red Rose Veterans Honor
